  Absolutely the best food n service

  The caravan park is good for those trying to get away from everything including phones because it's remote with no real phone service unless you're prepared to run around bushland trying to find it. BUT that is all I can say that is good. The woman who co-runs it is a piece of work, and made our stay very uncomfortable. We were falsely accused of fighting at 2am one night, (while we were sleeping), and a second time the next day. It was all malicious gossip, but she still believed residents who didn't even know us over the evidence I had that proved we can't have been involved. She evicted some German campers late at night for starting a camp fire, which is fair enough in a high risk bushfire area, but not very fair when another group camping were allowed to light a fire in their brassier the same night and weren't evicted. My husband joined us for the last couple of days, and he was accused of being a menace in the park when he wasn't even there, and when I offered to prove the date he arrived on his airline ticket to clear his name, she wasn't interested in it and called me a liar. The women's toilets are disgusting with open buckets in each stall for sanitary items, (which is against health and hygiene laws), and everything is putrid or broken, and the shower curtains smelt like urine. I went elsewhere for showers, but you can see my photos to judge for yourself. The play equipment is rusted, broken and dangerous and should be pulled down. The caretaker decided one morning to bring the tractor lawn mower into our camp site, (I'm not sure why because we had no grass on our site), and blew dirt from the ground all over me, our food, and in our drinking water, (which all had to be replaced). These people knew nothing about any of us, but rudely discriminated, judged, and lied about us. None of us are known for being trouble, the police were never called to our camp site, but we witnessed them intervene "situations" between the local residents on a number of occasions. Not that it was any of our business, and we chose to ignore it until the woman running the place decided to bring it up when she was questioning us. I think it was very unprofessional to talk to us about someone else's private issues that were none of our business. The Tavern however is incredible, the food is fantastic and a compliment to the chef, and their Cudlee Creek wine selection is a must try. Look out for co-owner Andys friendly face behind the bar and share a chat with him, he's a great guy and would do better running the place himself.

  Unkempt facilities. Terrible hot water service in showers - ran two minutes hot, three minutes cold, repeat indefinitely. No camp kitchen facilities. On the bright side, there was plenty of space. A lot of other reviews complained about rude staff, but we had no issues there. Wasn't the worst camping experience I've had, but since there are other alternatives in the area I won't be going there again.
